We would like to welcome Ms Lee to our class from the University of Canterbury. She will be spending 5 weeks with our class as part of her teacher training and will be taking the class for some lessons as well as watching Mr Gordon teach and learning from him.

Today some members of our class (Rion, Angelica, Shaun, Oli & Joel) had the opportunity to work with Mr Kevin Honeycutt trying out some of the latest apps and equipment for iPads. It was all music based and some of the iPads even slotted into guitars to almost play like a real one. Each group had to perform a song on with their iPads, our group performed and sang "Live While We're Young" by One Direction with Shaun taking the lead vocals!

Today for Social Studies we used one of the school research labs. We drew a map of New Zealand and located the six main cities, labeling them on our maps. We then used the internet to find out the population of those main cities. We are looking at "Identity" for Social Studies and what it means to be a New Zealander as well as how New Zealand plays an important role in the world.
